This project involved replacing an existing, tired deck with a new raised decking installation, designed to create a durable and practical outdoor space with a clean, modern feel. The new deck was carefully set out to improve the connection between the house and the garden, with stairs leading down to the lower garden level.
Cedar cladding was used to finish the structure, adding warmth and rich natural colour that contrasts beautifully with the deck boards. Practical details were thoughtfully integrated, including a discreet access hatch within the deck to allow access to existing drainage below.
A sleek metal balustrade was installed, fixed cleanly through the decking boards for a refined, contemporary finish around the perimeter. The result is a solid, well-detailed deck that combines practicality, durability, and strong visual impact.
